Verstärker R-2017, 2017A
und 2017B
Optisch sind diese Verstärker fast identisch.
Der Verstärker 2017 bzw. 2017A wird in den Modellen K, verwendet.
Verstärker 2017B in Continental und Lyric. Sie sind nicht ohne
weiteres untereinander austauschbar. Die Verstärker werden so eingebaut,
dass die Röhre 5U4 waagerecht ist. Daher muß die Position der
Röhrenfassung so sein, dass das Filament in der Röhre nicht absackt und
dadurch die Bleche berührt (Kurzschluß). Im Model "K" muß die
Nase des Führungszapfen in Betriebslage in Richtung Chassisende zeigen.
Bei Continental und Lyric
muß diese Nase in Richtung Power Trafo zeigen.
Lautsprecheranschluß
R-2017 und R-2777:
Die Basisverstärker bei den Modellen K, Conti 1, Lyric 1 (R-2017,
stereo) und Conti 2 und Lyric 2 (R-2777, stereo) sind im Prinzip gleich.
R-2017: die Mono-Ausführung R-2017 hat anstatt der 2. Endstufe einen
Vorverstärker eingebaut. Es gibt nur zwei Lautsprecherkabel, die an C1 +
C2 angeschlossen werden. Die notwendige Spannung wird mit dem Schalter
gewählt. R-2017 hat keinen CV Ausgang, jedoch einen hochohmigen Ausgang
für Lautsprecher an Anschluß 6 (500 Ohm).
R-2777: die stereo Ausführung 2777 hat drei Lautsprechergruppen (linker
Kanal, rechter Kanal und Mitte). Dafür gibt es sechs Kabel. Diese werden
an die Anschlüsse E1 – E6 geklemmt (auf dem Basic amplifier und add-on
amplifier).
Welche Anschlüsse verwendet werden, hängt von der notwendigen Spannung
ab. Dafür gibt es keinen Schalter. Die Anschlüsse E1 – E6 sind für 70
Volt CV Lautsprecher. Ein Aufkleber auf dem Ausgangstrafo zeigt die
verschiedenen Anschlußmöglichkeiten für niederohmige Lautsprecher an.
Sollen keine Zusatzlautspecher angeschlossen werden, kommen die
Lautsprecherkabel an E2 und E5.
Der schwarz-weiße Draht dürfte der Masseanschluß sein. Er kommt auf E4.
Der orange und der rote Draht sind die Anschlüsse für das Muting Relay.
Die Klemmen sollten die Bezeichnung A1 und A2 haben.
An die Klemmen B1 - B3 kommt der Lautstärkeregler. (B1 = Masse, B2 =
Schleifer, B3 = heißes Ende).
Die Anschlüsse C3/C4 auf dem R-2017
entsprechen A1/A2 auf dem R-2777. |

Amplifier
R-2017, 2017A, and 2017B
Optically the amplifiers are about being identical.
Amplifier 2017 resp. 2017A is used for the K, amplifier 2017B in Continental 1
and Lyric They are not interchangeable directly.
Since the amplifiers are mounted with the 5U4 valve horizontal, the sockets must
be positioned so that the tubes' filament will not sag against the plates
(shorting-out).
In model "K" this keyway in the 5U4 socket must point toward the end of
the chassis. In Continental and Lyric this keyway must point toward the
power transformer.
Speaker Connection
R-2017 and R-2777:
The basic amplifier of models K, Conti 1, Lyric 1 (R-2017, mono), Conti 2 and
Lyric 2 (R-2777, stereo) are about the same.
R-2017: The mono version has a pre-amplifier instead of a second outstage
installed. Therefore there are only two speaker cables. These get connected to
C1 + C2, and the required power is selected by a rotary switch.
The R-2017 does not have a CV output, but a high-impedance output for speakers
(500 ohms) on terminal 6.
R-2777: The stereo version R-2777 has installed three speaker groups (left channel,
right channel and center). Therefore there are six speaker cables. These cables
get connected to terminals E1 to E6 (on the basic amplifier and the add-on
amplifier).
Which terminals get used depends on the required power. There is no rotary
switch for the speaker power.
On R-2777 amplifiers the terminals E1 and E6 are for use only with 70 volt CV
speakers. There is a sticker on the output transformer for the various
connection options for low impedance speakers.
If no extra speaker will be hooked up, the speaker wires need to be connected to
E2 and E5.
The black-white wire should be ground and goes to E4.
The orange and red wires are for connecting the mute relay. The terminals should
be A 1 and A2. Terminals B1 - B3 are for volume control (B1 = ground, B2 =
wiper, B3 = hot end).
The terminals C3/C4 on R-2017 correspond to
terminals A1/A2 on the R-2777. |
