-
entlasten, z. B. durch Unterschieben von Holzstaffeln. Außerdem muß man
-
Plattenteller: diesen am besten
herunternehmen, da man sonst zerbrochene (Glas)Scheiben o.ä. riskiert.
Stufen. |

-
Upright transportation: If the Jukebox
gets transported upright, the castors must either be removed or
the weight must be taken off them, e.g. by sliding wooden stacks
underneath. In addition, the jukebox must be well secured
without risking damage due to excessive pressure.
-
Lying transportation: Some cardboard should
be placed underneath the jukebox to prevent damage to the floor.
Don't place thick foam, thick blankets or even mattresses
underneath, because the jukebox will not lie stable on it, but
will start to swing with every movement of the vehicle, and the
risk of damage will become much greater.
-
Securing for transportation:
The mechanism rests on four large springs. Right next to these
springs there is each one large screw, which should not be tightened
down in operation. For transport, these screws must be tightened so
that the springs are on tension and the mechanism can no longer
swing. After transport, these screws must be removed again. On
models H and I there are also two wing nuts at the front end of the
frame on which the mechanism rests.
Sometimes there are claws that can be hooked into two holes. The
claws should be hooked in and the wing nuts should be tightened.
-
Mechanism
cover: If necessary, it is recommended to remove the mechanism
cover, as the plastic may have become brittle and porous over the
years. As a result, small pieces can quickly break off during
vibrations.
-
Tone arm: This
should be fixed with a piece of wire, so that it can not move back
and forth without control.
-
Turntable: It is
best to take this off, otherwise you risk broken (glass)domes or the
like. It is only plugged in and could become loose from the socket (especially
during horizontal transport).
-
Amplifier, power supply,
credit unit, transformer: These should be screwed down tightly (if
provided) or removed. In the case of tube amplifiers, it is
advisable to remove the tubes and transport them separately (cardboard
box). After transport, check that all the connectors and, if
necessary, the tubes are tight.
-
Records:
Either remove them or fix them with masking tape (which can be
easily removed afterwards).
The procedure is as follows: You can start at one point. Then use
the scan switch to rotate the magazine while letting run the tape
over the rim of the records. Once the tape is all around them, the
records can't fall out.
After setting up the jukebox again, of course, check all again.
-
Power cord: Either pull it inside the
jukebox or fix it in such a way that it does not crush or gets
damaged when loading.
-
Loose Parts: For safety, check the
jukebox for loose parts and either secure them or remove them.
-
Cabinet: Depending on how the juekbox
gets transported, you can wrap the cabinet, glass panels, front
panel or other offset parts with foam, blankets, bubble wrap, or
similar for safety.
Attention: Do not use duck tape, it is very difficult to get it
off the wood.
It may be helpful to remove the front and
rear panels. This saves on weight.
-
Forwarder: If the jukebox needs to be
transported by a forwarder or is going on a long trip,
transporting it in a mesh box would be recommended.
If you hire
someone to transport it, take photos before and check the unit
for existing damage together with the forwarder. This will help
to discuss afterwards whether the damage occurred during
transportation.
If the damage occurred in transit, the invoice
should be reduced or payment delayed.
Once everything is paid
for, the pressure to take care of the damage may be rather low
on the forwarder.
In general, a jukebox can be transported well
with a hand truck (should have at least 150 kg load capacity),
so you can also better cope with steps. |
Es gelten die gleichen Hinweise wie oben
beschrieben.
Man muß
Transportsicherung: Chassis festschrauben, Platten herausnehmen,
Plattentellers. |
|
The same instructions as described above apply.
However, due to the upper "radar screen" (title holder), there are a few
more things to consider.
A Conti is best transported lying on its back. Then you don't need to
remove the radar screen. The "skids" on the back are designed in such a
way that the radar screen almost rests on it and therefore there is no
danger of a "broken neck". However, the skids are very close together
and the contact area is quite narrow. You must therefore ensure that the
box cannot move sideways (wedge it or tie it down).
Transport safety: Screw the chassis tight, take out the records, take
out the turntable and fix the tonearm to the little brush with some
insulating tape.
You can also save yourself the trouble of taking out the records by
taping a parcel tape from one magazin belt pulley to the other so they
can't fall out. Then you're done in 3 minutes to get the jukebox ready
for transport.
When setting it up, you only need to check again that all records are
correctly positioned in the magazine.
If, on the other hand, the jukebox gets transported upright, the radar
screen at the top should be removed in any case. Tightening the
transport safety bolts, fixing the records (or removing them) and the
tonearm are necessary here as well as removing the turntable. |
