Reinigung der Linse - für alle CD Player
unabhängig vom Hersteller |
|
Die Linse muß von
Zeit zu Zeit (1 - 2mal im Jahr, je nach Luftgüte) gereinigt
werden. Es gibt dazu spezielle
Reinigungs-CDs, die einfach in der Bedienung sind und neben
der Reinigung auch einen antistatischen Effekt erzielen.
Einige verwenden ein mit Optikreiniger (zum Reinigen von
Kameraobjektiven oder für Brillen) oder Isopropanol getränktes
Wattestäbchen. Man muß damit vorsichtig über die Linse wischen.
Dabei nicht auf die Linse drücken und nicht zu viel Flüssigkeit
auf das Wattestäbchen geben, es darf nichts nach unten laufen.
Da die Lasereinheit empfindlich auf statische Aufladung ist,
sollte man unbedingt während der Reinigung mit einer Hand einen
Metallteil auf dem CD-Player berühren.

Problem: The selected CD does not get taken out. Models
Rainbow, Princess, and Rave On |
We've had a Princess wall box in the
workshop for several months; in every site where we used it, it had
intermittent problems and in the end we lost one site because of it.
The most visible problem was that the
sled would not pick up the correct CD - it would go to the selected
CD spot, but the sled would miss the CD by about 1 mm and come out
empty-handed. This problem was usually more pronounced on one side
of the stack - in our case the left stack.
Graeme (my service manager) eventually
found that the problem was caused by two factors and we're not sure
whether the binding pulleys caused the springs to stretch, or
whether there were two separate faults which combined.
The parts catalog for this mechanism
shows that exploded view part #5 (Wurlitzer part # 0038386) which is
a plastic-coated draw wire which attaches to the back of the sled,
has a small spring (Wurlitzer part # 0038388) on each end.
In our mechanism, these small strong/powerful
extension springs (each about 1/4" = 6 mm long by 1/8" dia = 3 mm
dia) had stretched to 3 times their length and therefore the sled
mechanism was no longer tensioned as it was designed to be.
The other problem which we found was
that the grooved pulleys over which this plastic-coated draw wire
rolled, had both gummed up. The pulleys are not shown in the parts
catalog but if you look at the draw wire and look into the sled box
on a machine or on the parts catalog, you will see where they sit.
No part number is given for these pulleys.
The pulleys are grooved black nylon and
are attached to a plastic post by a Phillips-headed screw. Through
the middle of the pulley there is a brass tube with a rounded head
and this rounded head is what turns on the little black post to
which the assembly is screwed down. The Phillips screw goes through
the pulley and through the middle of the brass tube and screws into
the plastic post by about 3 turns. It is a very flimsy construction
and it is no wonder that so many operators have discarded their
Wurlitzer stacker jukes because of their unreliability. I
spoke to one ex-Wurlitzer operator this afternoon and he had junked
more than 20 Wurlitzer stacker mechanisms some years ago!
Both of our pulleys were gummed up - one
completely and one mostly. When we took the pully assemblies apart,
we found that a black substance had gummed up the free movement of
the pulleys - that black sticky stuff would most likely have been
some form of grease originally. We've now used a white lithium
grease on this area of the mech.
The machine is now on a long-term test,
but first results are very encouraging.

Der Player liest das Inhaltsverzeichnis der
CD nicht ein. Das kann zwei Gründe haben.
- das Auge vom Player ist nicht sauber
oder weist Staub auf.
Lösung: mit Wattestäbchen reinigen.
- Der Player ist möglicherweise alt und
defekt.
Lösung: den Player gibt es nicht mehr im Austausch, sondern nur als
Umrüstung auf den aktuellen CDM 12. Preis ca. 800 Euro (Stand: 2014)

CDM 4i:
Wiederholtes Auflegen gewählter oder nicht gewählter CDs |
Es gibt zwei Möglichkeiten:
- der Fehler bleibt bestehen, wenn der
Stecker Blau von der Steuerung abgezogen wird.
Mögl. Ursache: der Magazinmotor (Korbmotor) kommt am Ende des
Wechselvorgangs nicht zum Stehen.
Mögl. Fehler: Der Schleifkontakt K6 ist falsch justiert oder defekt oder
hat Masseschluß. Der Bremswiderstand R10 (47 Ohm) am Magazinmotor ist
unterbrochen (evtl. kalte Lötstelle). Der Kondensator C4 könnte einen
Kurzschluß haben.
- der Fehler verschwindet, wenn der
Stecker Blau von der Steuerung abgezogen wird.
Mögl. Ursache: Fehlverhalten der Steuerung
Mögl. Fehler: Die Steuerung ist defekt; ggfs. "klebt" Relais 2 oder der
Transistor 2 ist defekt.

Bei meiner Wurlitzer Princess wird die CD
korrekt aus dem Archiv geholt, der Player läuft mehrfach hintereinander
kurz an und schließlich wird die CD zurückgelegt. Was kann die Ursache
sein?

Sofern ein Handbuch CDM12 Technik vorliegt, die Fehlercodes
checken. Fehlercode 8 deutet auf einen nicht lesbaren TOC (Table of
Content) hin. Das heißt der Inhalt der CD wird nicht eingelesen.

Prüfe mal - sofern nicht schon geschehen - die Laserlinse
auf Verschmutzung. Staub oder andere manchmal kaum sichtbare
Verunreinigungen haben schon so manchen CD-Player außer Funktion
gesetzt... :-) Laserlinse vorsichtig reinigen - ggfs. mit Reinigungs-CD.
Andere PickUps leiden mitunter auch an Kontaktfehlern im
Verbindungskabel/Folienkabel, hervorgerufen durch die ständige Hin- und
Herbewegung des Schlittens.

The SCC unit can not
detect the position of the gripper arm. Detection via pin4 (gy) plug
blue.
-30V = CD in carrier; approx. 0V = CD is not in carrier.
The SCC unit is probably defective ("jammed" relay 2, transistor T2
defective). The Microswitch K7 or its plastic cam could be maladjusted.
While the gripper arm is in carrier position K7 has to be closed. The
carrier latch solenoid M3 is defective or T22 inside the SCC unit is
defective. |

Die Spielanzeige geht nicht mehr und es
können keine Titel mehr angewählt werden. Mechanische Defekte, lose
Steckverbindungen o.ä. liegen nicht vor. Der Schalter steht richtig auf
"Steuerung ein".

Test zum Eingrenzen des Fehlers:
Box einschalten und die Korbraste am Plattenkorb von Hand auslösen. Der
Korb sollte sich dann drehen, und Du solltest ihn etwa 2 volle
Umdrehungen machen lassen. Dabei die LEDs "Z" und "K" an der Steuerung
beobachten.
"Z" sollte im Takt der Plattenfächer blinken, "K" einmal pro komplettem
Umlauf des Korbes. Blinkt nichts, dann ist entweder die
Lichtschranke ohne Funktion (Lampe defekt?) oder der SCC hat keine
Spannung.
Blinkt es wie gewünscht, und es erscheinen nach spätestens 2 Umläufen
wieder Zahlen im Display, dann ist wohl die Ansteuerung des
Plattenkorbes ausgefallen (oder die Steuerung wartet noch auf das Ende
einer vermeintlich spielenden Platte - Stichwort: K7/Schaltnockenbruch).
Erscheinen keine Zahlen, dann gibt es u.U. ein Problem mit der
Prozessorlogik.

Prozessorlogik: Ein gängiges Problem ist
ein defekter Kondensator C22. Dieser bestimmt das Reset-Timing beim
Einschalten.
Hat er Kurzschluss, dann zwingt er den Prozessor in einen Dauerreset.
Ist er hochohmig geworden (kein Ladeverhalten mehr), dann kommt erst gar
kein Reset zustande, und die CPU startet nicht.
Testen kann man das per Multimeter im Modus "Diodentest"
(Durchgangsprüfung/Messgerät piept dabei meistens): bei abgeschalteter Box den Kondensator wechselseitig auf Durchgang
prüfen. Das Multimeter sollte jeweils kurz piepen. Bei Dauerton oder gar
keiner Reaktion ist dann für gewöhnlich der Kondensator defekt.

The
display doesn't work any more, no selections can be made. There are no
mechanical faults nor loose connections, etc. The switch is set right at
"Controller On".

Test to
narrow down the
fault:
Turn on the jukebox and manually release the magazin detent of the CD
magazin. The magazin should then rotate. Let it make about 2 full
rotations. While doing this, watch the "Z" and "K" LEDs on the
control and credit unit (SCC).
"Z" should flash in time with the CD compartments, "K" once per
complete rotation of the magazin. If nothing flashes, then either
the light barrier is without function (lamp defective?) or the SCC
has no operating voltage.
If it flashes as it should and numbers appear in the display latest
after two rotations, then the controller of the CD magazin might
have failed. Or the control unit is still waiting for the end of a
possibly playing CD. In that case check K7 for a break of shift cam).
If no numbers appear, then there might be a problem with the
processor logic.
Processor logic: A
common problem is a defective capacitor C22. This determines the
reset timing when powering up.
If it is short-circuited, it forces the processor into a continuous
reset. If it has become highly resistive (no more charging behavior),
then no reset occurs at all and the CPU doesn't start.
You can test this with a multimeter in the mode "diode test" (continuity
test/measuring device beeps mostly):
With the box switched off, test the capacitor alternately for
continuity. The multimeter should beep briefly each time. If the
beep is continuous or there is no response at all, the capacitor is
usually defective.
