Eine Lyric mit senkrechter Abspielung legt Singles auf und sofort wieder weg, ohne sie abzuspielen.

A Lyric with upright playing mechanism returns the records right away without playing them.

• Der Tonarm-Endschalter hängt fest. Dieser befindet sich auf der Rückseite der Plattenspielerbrücke hinter dem Tonarm. Am Ende der Singles stößt der Tonarm gegen diesen Schalter, der wiederum dem Wechslermotor aktiviert, damit der Tonarm von der Platte gehoben werden kann. Möglicherweise ist dieser Schalter verklemmt, so dass er dauerhaft Massekontakt hat.

• Die Reject-Taste (Löschknopf) hängt fest.

• The tone arm cut-off switch sticks. It is located on the back of the TT bridge behind the tone arm. At the end of the records the tone arm hits this switch which in turns activates the changer motor so that the tone arm can be lifted off the record. It is possible that this switch is jammed so that it has permanent ground contact.
   

• The reject button might be stuck.

Folgende Ursachen sind möglich:

• Die Reject-Taste hängt fest

• Der Tonarm-Endschalter hängt fest. Dieser befindet sich unter dem Laufwerk an der rechten Seite des Tonarms an einem Haltewinkel.

• Sofern vorhanden: die Fernbedienung oder das Telecontrol-Modul melden permanenten Spielabbruch (wie die Reject-Taste).

Scheidet das alles aus, dann gibt es noch folgende Möglichkeiten - für neuere Modelle wie Fuego, Niagara, SL600, Diana, Atlanta 4 usw.

• Der Getriebe-Endschalter ist dejustiert, verbogen oder "klebt", d.h. er öffnet nicht mehr, wenn die sogenannte "Spielstellung" der Mechanik erreicht wurde. Ggfs. ist das Schaltstück (siehe Pfeil), welches den Endschalter betätigt, gebrochen.

• Der Schalter öffnet zu kurz, sodass durch Nachlauf des Getriebemotors der Antrieb erst zum Stehen kommt, wenn der Kontakt bereits wieder geschlossen ist. Der Motor darf nicht zu weit nachlaufen. Deshalb ist parallel auch ein 47 Ohm Bremswiderstand angeschlossen. Ist dieser offen, so kann es ebenfalls zu dem beschriebenen Problem kommen.

The following faults are possible:

• The reject button might be stuck.

• The tone arm cut-off switch is stuck. It is located below the mechanism right hand of the tone arm on a bracket.

• If available: The remote control or the telecontrol module report permanent to cut-off the record (like the reject button).

If all of the above is ruled out, then there are the following possibilities - for newer models such as Fuego, Niagara, SL600, Diana, Atlanta 4, etc.

• The gearbox limit switch is misaligned, bent or stuck, i.e. it no longer opens when the so-called "play position" of the mechanism has been reached. The actuating lever (see arrow in picture below) that actuates the limit switch may be broken.

• The switch opens too briefly so that the drive only stops when the contact is already closed again due to overrunning of the gearmotor. The motor must not overrun too far. For this reason, a 47 Ohm braking resistor is also connected in parallel. If this is open, the problem described  can also occur.

1. Das Auflagegewicht ist zu hoch und sollte neu eingestellt werden. Es sollte 3 - 5 g betragen.

2. Das Lager des Tonarms ist verdreckt und sollte gereinigt werden. Zuvor kann man probieren, das Drehlager (und ggf. das Antriebsgestänge) mit etwas Öl oder Graphitspray zu benetzen und dann zu sehen, ob es wieder leichtgängig ist. Im schlimmsten Fall muss das Lager komplett zerlegt und gereinigt werden.

The problem can have two causes:

1. The tone arm weight is too much and should be adjusted new. It should be 3 - 5 g.

2. Before doing this, one can try to wet the pivot bearing (and possibly the drive linkage) with a little oil or graphite spray and then see if it runs smoothly again.
   In the worst case, the bearing must be completely dismantled and cleaned.

Aufsetzpunkt: Hinter dem Tonarm ist eine senkrecht stehende lange Schraube, die auf einem Hebel montiert ist. Der Hebel bewegt sich, um den Tonabnehmer an die Platte zu führen. Zum Einstellen des Aufsetzpunktes wird die Schraube hinein (Aufsetzpunkt weiter innen) oder herausgedreht (Aufsetzpunkt weiter außen).
Der Aufsetzpunkt sollte bei ca. 3,5 mm vom Rand entfernt liegen.

Tonarm-Andruck (Auflagegewicht): Das Gewicht beträgt werksseitig 5 bis 7 g. Der Auflagedruck lässt sich durch Verdrehen der Sechskantmutter auf dem Gewindebolzen am Ausleger der Tonarmlagerung verändern. Durch Drehung entgegen dem Uhrzeigersinn vergrößert sich der Andruck der Tonnadel.

Abschaltpunkt: Die Anschlagschraube der Tonarm-Endschalter-Schwinge ermöglicht, den Abschaltpunkt am Ende der Single zu verändern.

Starting groove: Behind the tonearm is a long vertical screw mounted on a lever. The lever moves to guide the pickup to the record. To adjust the set down point, the screw gets screwed in (set down point further inwards) or out (set down point further out).
The set down point should be approx. 3.5 mm from the edge.


Tone arm pressure (tone arm weight): The weight is set at the factory to 5 to 7 g. The pickup pressure can be modified by turning the hexagon nut on the threaded bolt on the cantilever of the tonearm bearing. Turning it anti-clockwise increases the contact pressure of the stylus.

Cut-off point: The stop screw on the tonearm limit switch allows to change the cut-off point at the end of the record.
