Es gab dazu Singleschallplatten mit mehr als einem Titel pro Seite, 33-1/3 UpM und kleinem Mittelloch - vergleichbar mit den EPs bzw. ähnlich der Quartett Single in der DDR (Hinweis: da aber mit 45UpM und großem Loch). Diese sog. Alben sollten mehr kosten, und somit wurde die entsprechende Funktion im Kreditwerk eingerichtet. Die Mechanik erkennt dann, sofern entsprechend ausgerüstet, anhand der Größe des Mittellochs und schaltet die Geschwindigkeit entsprechend um.
Die beiden Funktionen sind aber unabhängig voneinander. Es gibt daher Boxen mit der Albumfunktion im Kreditwerk, aber einem reinen 45UpM Laufwerk.

There were records availabe with more than one title per side, 33-1/3 rpm and a small center hole, comparable to the EPs or similar to the quartet records in the GDR (note: But with 45 rpm and a large hole). These so-called albums needed to cost more, and so the corresponding function was set up in the credit unit. The mechanism then recognizes, if equipped accordingly, the size of the center hole and switches the speed accordingly.
However, the two functions are independent of each other. There are therefore jukeboxes with the album function in the credit unit, but a pure 45 rpm mechanism.

Es gab "normale" und 33/45 RPM Abdeckungen, wobei sich Regis- und Empressabdeckung in einem kleinen Detail bei beiden Varianten in der Nähe des Tonarmdurchlasses unterscheiden. Die Empressabdeckung hatte dort einen kleinen Wulst um der Schubstange, die für die 33/45 RPM Umschaltung benötigt wird, Platz zu bieten. Die Regisabdeckung hat diesen Wulst nicht und hat auch anders geformte Deko-Einlegebleche an dieser Stelle.		There were standard and 33/45 RPM covers available, whereby the Regis and Empress covers differed in one small detail in both variants near the tonearm passage. The Empress cover had a small bulge there to provide space for the push rod required for the 33/45 RPM switchover. The Regis cover does not have this bulge and also has differently shaped decorative inserts at this spot.

		Info: Michael Sommer Zur Abdeckung der Empress wäre noch zu sagen, dass sie nicht hellblau ist wie sie jetzt meistens aussieht, sondern original zart fliederfarben ist - wie die Bleche rechts und links vom Lautsprechergrill einmal waren! Genau wie bei der Princess auch: der Fliederfarbton bleicht unter dem UV der Leuchtstoffröhre zu einem hellblau - ist wohl lackbedingt. With regard to the cover of the Empress, it should not be light blue as it usually looks now, but having the original light lilac colour like the panels to the right and left of the loudspeaker grille used to be. Just like on the Princess: The lilac colour fades to a light blue under the UV of the fluorescent tube - probably due to the paint.
