Automatic Entertainer (built between 1929 and 1931?) 24 selections - cut down version It
holds 24 records and is in a way selectable. The machine has two stacks
of 12 records.
A mechanism slides a record from one stack to the
turntable and plays it. At
that moment you can move the other stack up and down with the big knob
in front and select a record. The amplifier holds 2x #10 as

It is a cut down Automatic Entertainer cabinet that was highly modified, just like most of the others seen that are short like that. Painted in Japan black finish one day but has an oak cabinet underneath. Gert Almind: "limitierte produktion. Gabel hat etwas Besonderes in Verbindung mit Chicago World's Fair 1933 gemacht (Sheraton Hotel). Hier hat man 24 sel. und nicht nur 12 sel. wie bei den ersten elektrischen "Junior", und die Box ist sicher von Gabel Co. selbst umgebaut worden. |
