Solo-Vue (1944)
The Panoram was the Soundies only venue. Former plans for a
production of 30000 Panorams were reduced to 5000 due to the WW 2. The price to
watch a Soundies was a dime (10c) while listening to a jukebox only did cost a
nickel (5c). A Soundie took about 3 minutes.

Lloyd Thoburn: Very interesting photo of a Mills Panoram that was made with clear panels to display the inner workings of one. This photo is dated 9/5/40. An interesting fact about the Soundies which were played on this machine is that the company was headed by James Roosevelt, son of Franklin D. Roosevelt, who was President of the United States at the time.
