Die Solotone Corp. wurde im Februar 1946 von William (Bud) Parr von General Music Co., Louis B. (Mac) McCreary, ehemals bei E. T. Mape Music Co., und dem Erfinder Forrest E. (Cliff) Wilson gegründet.
Die Produktion der von Forrest E. Wilson und Scott E. Allen entwickelten und konstruierten Solotone-Geräte und -Systeme wurde an die Pacific Division der Bendix Aviation Corp. mit Sitz in 11600 Sherman Way in North Hollywood vergeben. Scott E. Allen stand in Verbindung zur Personal Music Corp. als Führungskraft der C-O-Two Fire Equipment Co. in Newark, New Jersey.

Solotone Corp. was founded in February 1946 by William (Bud) Parr of the General Music Co., Louis B. (Mac) McCreary, formerly of the E. T. Mape Music Co., and the inventor Forrest E. (Cliff) Wilson.
The production of the Solotone units and systems, developed and designed by Forrest E. Wilson and Scott E. Allen, was contracted with the Pacific Division of the Bendix Aviation Corp. at 11600 Sherman Way in North Hollywood. Scott E. Allen was related to the Personal Music Corp. as an executive of the C-O-Two Fire Equipment Co. in Newark, New Jersey.
