McLagan Phonograph (1926)

The McLagan was basicly a furniture company. They merged into a company for radio and phonograph furnitures 1916 and announced an instrument for 10" and 12" records in Aug. 1917.
They started to make this kind of jukebox in 1926. They produced 12 jukeboxes and this is # 6. This one was sold for 1500 CAN$ to KIng Edward Hotel in Toronto in 1926 (the price of a house at the time). It was there till 1939 then sold for 65 CAN$ to a lodge in Haliburton and was in the lobby till late 1950's. Then the owner of the lodge took it home where it has been till now.
