Bunnies (Leporidae) are located on all continents except the Antarctic. Ca. 55 species are known, but most popular is the hare. Nevertheless in some regions it is threatened with extinction.
The long ears, the longer back than front legs and the Y-shaped gap between upper lip and nares characterize hares in general. The long ears are not needed for hearing only, but also to loate the noise exactly. they can run up to 60 km/h (ca. 40 miles) and jump up to 3 m (ca. 10')

Hares and rabbits often get mistaken by each other. Rabbits do have smaller ears and can't run as fast and leap as high as a hare or bunny. Nevertheless rabbits are more agile, they run by very fast "shooting ups".
