BARCO (Belgium American Radio Corporation) was founded by Lucien De Puydt (†1940 in an accident) in Poperinge, Belgium in 1934. They specialised in assembling radios using US parts. BARCO is still an international worldwide company. (2011)
From 1949 – 1956 they were successful with its concept of a “cheaper” jukebox. The so called “Barco-Box” found its way into locations, which could not afford the expensive US jukeboxes.
