Catalin Cover für wireless Fernwähler
Das orange Cover war wohl die Standardausführung für die W123 Wallbox (drahtlos) und die W125 Wallbox (drahtgebunden).
Das lila Cover wurde vermutlich nur an der W430 Wallbox am W430 Orgelpfeifenlautsprecher verwendet. Das rote Cover wurde als Einzelstück in einem Keller in der Nähe der Wurlitzerfabrik in North Tonwanda gefunden. Es ist nicht bekannt, ob es in Serie hergestellt und wenn ja, mit welcher Wallbox - 123, 125 oder 430 - es ausgeliefert wurde.

Die beiden roten Instruktionsschilder "DEPOSIT ONE OR MORE COINS" und "PUSH BUTTON FIRMLY FOR EACH SELECTION" auf dem roten Catalincover lassen vermuten, daß es auf einer W 123 oder W 125 verwendet wurde.

Catalin Cover for wireless walloxes
The orange cover was most likely the standard version for W123 wallbox (wireless) and W125 (wired).
The purple cover was most likely only used with wallbox 430 at Organ Speaker W430.
The red cover was found as a unique one in a basement near the Wurlitzer building in North Tonwanda. It is not known whether it was produced in serie and if so with which wallbox - 123, 125, or 430 it was supplied.

The two red instruction tags "DEPOSIT ONE OR MORE COINS" and "PUSH BUTTON FIRMLY FOR EACH SELECTION" in the red Catalin cover let us guess that it was used on a w123 or W125 wallbox.

Von der 125er Catalin-Wallbox gab es zwei optisch etwas unterschiedliche Versionen:
Frühe Version = zwei rote Instruktionsschilder unten auf dem Frontcover
Späte Version = zwei kleine, schwarze Instruktionsschilder oben rechts und links vom Münzeinwurf

Cover W125:
Model 125 catalin wallboxes were available in two slightly different optical versions:.
Early version = two red instruction tags at the lower part
later version = two balck instrcution tags in the upper right and left of the coin entry

Bei den 125er Catalin-Wallboxen schrumpfen ja gerne mal die Frontcover, die dekorativen Metallstreifen entlang der Tastenreihen aber nicht…..

Wenn man die Metallstreifen mal außer Betracht lässt, dann stimmen durch den Schrumpfungsprozess die Lochabstände im Cover nicht mehr exakt zum tatsächlichen Tastenabstand. Die oberen und unteren Tasten lassen sich schwerer drücken und kommen zum Teil nach abgeschlossener Wahl nicht mehr heraus.

Wenn man die Wallbox benutzen möchte, muss man die Tastenlöcher im Catalin nacharbeiten (die oberen Tastenlöcher nach oben und die unteren nach unten „erweitern“), bis die Tasten ohne Metallstreifen mit augesetztem Frontcover wieder schön arbeiten.

Dann sind die Metallstreifen so aufzusetzen, dass die Tastenaussparungen in den Metallstreifen mit den nachgearbeiteten Löchern im Catalin fluchten.

Da die Catalinfront aber trotzdem geschrumpft ist, liegen die Metallstreifen zwar dann wieder an der Front an, aber da, wo sie oben und unten um die Kante der Catalinfront laufen, liegen sie nicht mehr sauber am Catalin an. Wenn man die Schraubenlöcher für die Metallstreifenbefestigung nicht zu „Langlöchern“ umarbeiten möchte, kann man dünnere Schrauben nehmen und damit den Metallstreifen etwas „Luft“ zum Hin- und Herschieben geben. Damit liegen die Metallstreifen an den runden Kanten der Catalinfront wenigstens anähernd an.

Diese Passungenauigkeit der Metallstreifen fällt aber nur auf, wenn man die Catalin-Wallbox von der Seite betrachtet.

On catalin-wallboxes of model 125 series the cover shrink within the years but the metal strips next to the pushbuttons rows don't do so.

If not caring about the metal strips, due to the shrinking process the distances of the holes in the catalin cover don't match the distances of the pushbuttons themselves any longer.
The upper and lower button can't be pressed well and don't release well the selection was completed.

If one wants to use the wallbox the buttonholes in the catalin cover need to get worked on (widen the upper holes to the top and lower holes to the bottom), until the buttons without metal strips but with mounted catalin cover release well again.

Afterwards the metal strips can be placed so that the gaps for the buttons of the catalin cover and those of the metal strips match each other.

But nevertheless the catalin cover did shrink and the metal strips will touch the front well. But there, where they follow the edges of the catalin cover they don't suit well the catalin.
If one doesn't want to enlarge the holes for the screws to slot holes, one can use thinner screws to give some space. This allows the metal bars to move slightly up and down and hence they will follow the edges of the catalin cover nearly nice again.

This  loosenes of the metal strips can only be seen when facing the catalin wallbox from the side.
