Golden Retriever, Miniature

Product 7 of 48

During the second half of 19th century the Golden Retriever was bred as a hunting dog. Until 1959 it was thought that this breed by the British Lord Tweetmouth was based on Russian circus dogs. But recovered records from the years 1868 to 1889 prooved that the origin of tgis race goes back to a curly retriever called "Nous" and a Tweed Water Spaniel bitch named "Belle". In 1913 the Golden Retriever was acknowledged as a race of its own.

The Golden Retriever is a friendly, patient, intelligent and mindful dog and can be helpful in several sections: For hunting, as a guide dog, at customs, as a beagle for avalanches and explosives and for rescueing victims after an earthquake. And also as a family dog ??the water-loving Golden Retriever is popular because of it's spirited and
accommodative character.
The fur of the Golden Retriever is smooth or wavy and of a golden or cream colour.

In many countries the Golden Retriever is one of the most popular dogs. Next to the larger Golden Retriever puppies the Kösen manufacture offers a miniature version of this lovely dog.

The second photo shows it together with two other miniatures - Boxer and Great Dane.
The last ones shows all miniature dogs by Kösen.
