Tigers (Panthera tigris) are the biggest living felids: They weigh approx. 300 kg and measure up to three meters (10 ft), but are very slim and agile. Tigers climb well and jump far, along with loving to swim they are adapted perfectly to life in the jungle. Tigers are mavericks and respect each others districts, only during mating season male tigers fight.

Because of its fur, which is reproduced in this plush toy by a wonderful special faux fur, the tiger has been hunted excessively. Due to that and decreasing habitats, subspecies like the Bali Tiger, are already extinct. Even today poachers are able to kill these gracious animals far too often, selling their fur on the black market.
Tiger protection programs have evoked a stabilization of the populations, at least in isolated protected areas. But still, tigers belong to the endangered species and today only ca. 3200 of them are existing in the wild.

Our little plush tiger is frugal, just like his living conspecifics. We do not know whether it can withstand temperatures up to -50°C (-58°F) like real tigers. Of course we do not hope you and the little tiger "Kadan" will experience this cold. But if so we are sure "Kadan" will stay at your side.
