Nachdem meine Rock-Ola 1448 die letzte Single gespielt und zurückgelegt hat, fährt das Magazin nicht weiter, sondern bleibt stehen. Ist das so richtig?

Antwort: Diese Modelle haben, im Gegensatz zu anderen Rock-Ola Musikboxen, keine Endstellung, sondern das Magazin verbleibt in der letzten Position. Erst wenn wieder eine Wahl getätigt wird, dreht es sich weiter.

After my Rock-Ola 1448 has played the last record and returned it, the magazine it does not turn but stops. Is this correct?

Answer: Unlike other Rock-Ola jukeboxes, these models do not have an end position, but the magazin remains in the last position. Only when another selection is made the magazine continues to rotate.

Wieviele abschließende Rotierungen macht das Magazin bei einer Regis, bevor das Magazin abschaltet und in der "Nullstellung" stehen bleibt?

Antwort: Kurz gesagt - insgesamt vier.
Alle Rock-Olas suchen bei einem Magazin-Durchlauf nur die A-Seiten, beim nächsten Durchlauf nur die B-Seiten. Es ist notwendig, zwei komplette Suchläufe für A- und B-Seiten durchzuführen, um alle möglicherweise gewählten Platten zu finden. Zwei Umdrehungen sind zu wenig.
Dazu ein Beispiel: Wenn z. B. die Nummer 1 gewählt wird, während die Nummer 3 spielt, würde die Wahl nicht gefunden werden. Wenn die Platte zu Ende gespielt hat, würden erst einmal die A-Seiten abgetastet werden (1. Umdrehung). Wenn dann das Magazin über den A/B-Umschaltpunkt läuft, werden die B-Seiten abgetastet (2. Umdrehung). Wenn das Magazin nach zwei Umdrehungen stoppen würde, würde die gewählte Platte Nr. 1 nicht gespielt, sie würde erst gespielt, wenn wieder etwas gewählt wird.

Das ist bei allen Rock-Olas mit Trommelselector so, die das Play Control Relay nicht über den Selector schalten (Modelle 1455 bis 1497, mit Ausnahme der Modelle 1484, 1493 und 1494).

How many final rotations does the magazine of Rock-Ola Regis make before it stops in home position?

Answer: In short - four in total.
All Rock-Olas search only the A-sides in one magazine rotation and only the B-sides in the next rotation. It is necessary to carry out two complete search runs for A- and B-sides in order to find all possibly selected records. Two turns are not enough.
Here is an example: If, for example, number 1 is selected while number 3 is still playing, the selection would not be found. When the record has finished playing, the A-sides would be scanned first (1st rotation). Then, when the magazine runs over the A/B switching point, the B-sides are scanned (2nd rotation). If the magazine were to stop after two rotations, the selected record no. 1 would not be played, it would only be played when something else would be selected again.

This is the case with all Rock-Olas with drum selector that do not switch the play control relay via the selector (models 1455 to 1497, with the exception of models 1484, 1493 and 1494).

Nach der Wahl und dem korrekten Abspielen des Liedes, schaltet die Musikbox nicht ab. Erst nach dem Drücken der  Clear Taste am Logic Board wird die Single weggelegt. Für ein Lied funktioniert es dann, dann wieder nicht.
Der Tonarm-Endschalter an sich und die Reject-Taste in Verbindung mit der Clear Taste am Logic Board  funktionieren.

Antwort: Als erstes sollte geprüft werden, ob ob sich der Greifermotor festläuft, in dem an der Motorwelle hinten am Motor gedreht wird. Ist dies der Fall, ist ein Reed-Relay auf der Platine vorne am Mechanismus Maschine defekt. Wenn man die Front öffnet, schaut man direkt drauf.
Den Fehler, dass die Box nicht wieder anläuft (also die Platte nicht weglegt), kann man auch Betätigen des Fahrschalters in die Scan-Position beheben. Dadurch legt die Maschine die Platte automatisch zurück.
Wenn das Reed-Relais defekt ist, muss es ersetzt werden. Es sollte im reg. Elektronik-Fachhandel bekommen zu sein.

Once the song has been selected and played correctly, the jukebox does not switch off. Only after pressing the clear button on the logic board the record is returned. It then works for one song, but then not again.

Answer: The first thing to check is whether the gripper motor gets stuck by turning the motor shaft at the back of the motor. If this is the case, a reed relay on the circuit board at the front of the mechansim is defective. If you open the front, you can look directly at it.
The fault that the jukebox does not restart (i.e. does not put the record away) can be rectified by moving the scan switch to the scan position. This causes the mechanism to return the record automatically.
If the reed relay is defective, it must be replaced. It should be available from a regular electronics dealer.
