Jensen Music Automates A/S - IMA-AMI (1940 - 1962)

The company was founded by Edwin Karl Jensen as A/S Jensen Motor Company in 1940. In 1947 E.K. Jensen became works engineer at A/S Jensen & Hoffmann which was owned officially by his father-in-law. In 1954 the company name was re-named to Jensen Music Automates A/S and jukeboxes were built under licence by AMI. They also imported complete assembled AMI G-200 and I-200 and got them rewired to 220V in their sister company GDA in Copenhagen. To distribute in Denmark the Dansk Grammofon Automat A/S was founded by E.K. Jensen in 1954. The export was taken care of by Oscar Siesbye S.A., Copenhagen.
