Years 1950 - 1952
No matter which way the record industry would go in 1950, Wurlitzer 1250 was prepared for every option: It featured the "Adapta-Speed Changer".
For less than US$10 this 78 rpm model could be converted to play either 33 or 45 rpm records.
In models of 1400 series the conversion was even simplified by the movement of two levers and just changing the idler wheel.
The dome can be opened both from the back and the front or taken off completely.
