It is equipped with a 1 mil diamond tip.

In the days of mono records all Wurlitzer models left the factory with a 1 mil Cobra.
These are the models 1650, 1700, 1800, 1900, 2000, 2100, 2104 up to the 2400 (mono).

The 1 mil tip fits the wider groove of the mono records perfectly.
The sound is full and strong.
Background noise and distortion are less!
Early stereo records from the 60s and 70s will be played good as well.
The fine groove of reproduction records and records made in the 80s need the Cobra with a 0.7 mil tip (item N400-32).

The golden color of the housing makes this Cobra cartridge unique and distinguishable.
After assembly each cartridge gets adjusted and bench-tested on a record player set-up with a Wurlitzer model 530 amplifier.
This Cobra is being made and gets distributed exclusively by us.

Adjust the tonearm pressure at about 4 to 5 grams.
