Rock-Ola and NOVA

Rock-Ola founded by David Cullen Rockola in 1927, and Nova by Alfred W. Adickes in 1953
His last name often was pronounciated as "Rock'la". So he added a hyphen and "Rockola" became "Rock-Ola". in 1952 with model Fireball 120 selections were available at first. This jukebox could play either 78 or 45 rpm records. David C. Rock-Ola passed away at the age of 96 years in September 1992.
Knowing David Rock-Ola since 1930, the German Alfred W. Adickes founded NOVA in 1953, and took over the German and European general agency of Rock-Ola jukeboxes and US entertainment machines.
