The Marican Blackbear (Ursus americanus), also known as Baribal, is domesticated in the woods and near courses of rivers in North America. It lives basically by itself but can be found in small groups as well if enough food is offered.

The name "Black Bear" does give an idea about the colour of the fur being black. Indeed, not all black bears are black. Getting westbound they show lighter colours as well like chockolate, honey-yellow or red-brown. Even some white or creme coloured black bears can be found. Those Kermode Bears (or known as "Spirit Bear") are a subspecies living in Canada.

The archetype of this lovely plush bear "Jimmy" was the living Jimmy.
Jimmy and his brother Gonzo were taken in and raised by a circus when they were only 5 months old. The tamer of the two bears, who died in 2002, arranged in his will that the the two bears should be brought to the Alternativ Park for Bears in Worbis, Germany
The two brothers settled in very quickly and developed a deep friendship with the bear Emma. Unfortunately, Gonzo died relatively soon afterwards, which was very sad for Jimmy. But he quickly overcame its grief thanks to Emma.
Unfortunately, Jimmy suffered from a tumor. He died in November 2021.

Each "Jimmy" has his own certificate with its own number.
