A French technician did develop this replacement for troublesome TMS1000 used in all NSM models with E-technology: Prestige E120, Prestige E160, Hit E120, Hit E120A, Consul E120, Consul E160A, Hideaway E120, Hideaway E160A, Century 21E.

The circuit board comes ready to install. NSM wallboxes Consolettes are not tested and may or may not work.
Installation: Replace old socket with a 'tulip' new one (if needed). Bend or remove C1 & C3.

TMS 1000 Replacement Module

Module installation:
The first operation, the most delicate but the only one in the module installation process is to de-solder the defective TMS1000. You may be lucky and in the past it has been mounted already on a 48-pin support. Now continue to mount the new support.

Selection playing order:
In its original logic, with the TMS1000 the operation of the jukebox was as following: The carriage is in stand-by at the right side of the record magazine, the display is off. A series of selections made e.g. in this order 67A – 45B-33A-18B-11A… was read in this order: 67A-33A-11A-18B-45B...

>>> Why?
Jukeboxes now have a home use usually and get often used for private parties. With this new TMS1000 replacement module one can easily program exactly the musical demand of his party without changing the vinyl’s magazine classification again and again. For example 3x songs rock to start the evening, then 2 songs slow, 3x reggae and maybe even 4 disco titles songs afterwards.

Loading vinyls:
Pressing the green square button of the power supply causes the carriage to move back and forth automatically. A double press on the “C”- pushbutton of the keyboard interrupts this movement. From then on, each brief press on the green button will cause the carriage to move slightly, freeing up the slots where you want to place a few records. A further double press on the "C" pushbutton will cause the carriage to complete its automatic cycle and coming to rest to the right of the record magazin.

Pricing:
The implementation of our module does not modify the pricing process as described in the NSM manual including the "free play" by the implementation of a diode in A8.

Montage du module :
La première opération, la plus délicate mais la seule, dans le processus d’installation du module consiste à extraire par dessoudage le TMS1000 hors d’usage. Si c’est votre jour de chance à l’occasion d’une intervention antérieure il a déjà été monté sur un support 48 broches ! Et à mettre en place le fameux support.

Lecture d’une série de sélections :
Dans sa logique originale, avec le TMS1000, le fonctionnement du jukebox se déroulait de la façon suivante : Le chariot est en stand-by à l’extrémité droite du panier à disques, afficheur éteint. Une série de sélections faite dans cet ordre : 67A – 45B-33A-18B-11A-69B était lues dans cet ordre : 67A-33A-11A-18B-45B-69B. En fait le chariot démarrant de la droite « écrémait » toutes les sélections programmées de faces A jusqu’à son inversion en bout de panier gauche pour « écrémer » au retour toutes les faces B programmées.
Avec notre module : En stand-by l’afficheur indique  « 71a ». Pour la lecture des disques nous avons adopté un autre point de vue, une série de sélections faites dans cet ordre : B11- A17-A56-B18-B41-A39… sera lue dans le même ordre : B11-A17-A56-B18-B41-A39….

En effet le jukebox est devenu un objet domestique ! Souvent utilisé pour créer une ambiance ‘’ discothèque ‘’ à domicile par Tommy le propriétaire : 3 rocks pour lancer la soirée, 2 slows pour souffler, 2 regees et pourquoi pas ensuite une série de 4 discos ?  Tout s’enchaînera parfaitement sans que Tommy ait à prévoir un reclassement compliqué des vinyles dans le panier à chaque soirée!

Chargement des disques :
Une impulsion sur la touche carrée verte de l’alimentation provoque un aller-retour automatique du chariot. Une double impulsion sur la touche « C » du clavier provoque l’interruption de ce déplacement ; A partir de là chaque brève impulsion sur la touche verte provoquera un petit déplacement du chariot libérant les casiers où l’on souhaite placer quelques disques… Une nouvelle double impulsion sur la touche « C » et le chariot terminera son cycle automatique pour venir se positionner à droite du panier à disques.

Tarification :
La mise en place de notre module ne modifie pas le process de tarification tel qu’il est décrit dans la nomenclature NSM notamment la mise en « free play » par la mise en place d’une diode en A8.
