Next to seven more species the brown bear (Ursus arctos) is mostly spread. It lives basically by itself on a fix territory: in the velds of tundra, alpine meadows and dark forests. The brown bear can be found in North America, Skandinavia, Russia, Japan, East Europe, the Near East, China and in Mongolia.
In South and Middle Europe in Italy, Spain, France and Austria some brown bears could be settled again.

The mocca plush bear "Bummi" probably belongs to the family of black bears. The name "Black Bear" does give an idea about the colour of the fur being black. Indeed, not all black bears are black. Getting westbound they show lighter colours as well like chockolate, honey-yellow or red-brown. Even some white or creme coloured black bears can be found. Those Kermode Bears (or known as "Spirit Bear") are a subspecies living in Canada.

Though the bear is one of the largest predator on land, as the teddy bear it is (probably) most popular for children. One can snuggle with it, and the teddy bear gives solace to children in moments of sadness.

Bear "Bummi" likes it cosy like all bears. It is especially soft and flexible, filled with granules and nestles itself great to somebody.
