Koala, large

Product 32 of 54

At first: No, koalas are no bears. Koalas belong to the family of marsupials und do live only in East and South-East Australia in light eucalyptus woods. After being almost wiped out due to their fur, they are protected today.
The name "Koala" originates from the aborigine language meaning as much as "doesn't drink". Indeed koalas don't drink (much) because they get all needed fluid when eating the hydrous eucalyptus leaves.
Koalas do sleep 14 hours per day and need 5 hours for eating. The remaining 5 hours they take a rest do recover from exhausting eating.
Time to get jealous, isn't it?

Our plush koala does have a swivel-head. The hands are made with velcro - see photo 5 - so it can hold itself on a stick, limb or so.
