From all mice (Mus) the house mouse (Mus Musculus) is most spread of all. Orginally it was located in India, but got to Europe and then America, Africa and Australia by shipping. Mice do not live at North and South Pole.

In nature brown mice are available, but also in special breedings. Then they are called "Fancy Mice" and they are available in various colours and shades; e.g. brown, chocolate, creme, bluegrey, red, browngrey, being of one or multi-coloured. Also the eyes an be of different colours. In contrast, white mice with red eyes are called "Albinos".
With its body length of 8 - 11 cm and a tail length of 7 - 11 cm real mice show similar sizes like our offered plush mouse: Body length 10 cm, tail length 11 cm. But looking at the weight a living mouse with 20 - 60g is a real leightweight compared to our plushmouse: it weighgs 94g!

Often mice attract a lot of attention, although they are that small. Especially if they show up where they shouldn't, even some adults can be seen jumping or at least sreaming a little bit.
Of course this is not true for the little brown mouse by the Kösen manufature. With it's soft faux fur it cuddles great into your hand. It loves not only a cosy place but also somebody to cuddle and play with. This might be the black mouse (last photo) but it's not a must of course.

As filling material a granulate was used, hence the black mouse has gotten a balance point in the back and sits slight upright.
