Description

The Polar Bear (Ursus maritimus) lives in the Arctic. Though it's fur seems to be white, indeed it is without any pigments. Each single hair is hollow and lead the sunrays to the black skin. Due to this fact and the thick layer of fat they can resist the cold up to -50°C (-58°F).

Although the amount of polar bears did raise since 1966 the animals are affected by the climate change and the melting polar seas. Since 2006 it is listed as an endangered species.

Polar Bear "Lasse" likes is cosy like its relatives the brown bears. It is especially soft and flexible, filled with granules and nestles itself great to somebody.
