Who does not know them, the Three Musketeers of the same name movie, the stories about d' Artangan, Porthos, Aramis, and Athos. With their sword, charme, and perfect manner they fight against intrigue, manipulation, and corruption in highest position: for King Luis XIII, against cardinal Richelieu.
"All for one, one for all!" is the motto of these heroes - and probably one of the most known at all.
But up to that point, the young hot-headed d'Artagnan needs to fight for becoming a musketeer. When he reached Paris  in 17th century, his letter of introduction got stolen. But due to coincidence and enough skill he's able to convince
Porthos, Aramis, and Athos of this and his passion for being a musketeer.

The film - since 1921 there are several ones from different nations - is based on the novel of the same name by Alexandre Dumas in 1844. And this novel was based on "Les Mémoires de d’Artagnan" (1700) by Gatien de Courtilz de Sandras. He was a musketeer and French writer and published the biography of d'Artagnan.
This means, the three resp. four musketeers had been real characters in 17th century.

"All for one, one for all!" This motto offers plenty scope for stories rich of phantasy and never ending, stories which are re-invented and told over and over again. Stories which allow to become a hero, to make the unreal real, and Good and Evil can be differed easily and the Good wins at the end. Stories which arouse the best characteristics in ourselves.

With this nicely handcrafted doll it will be easy for us to become a writer of new stories, to play them and to let children's eyes get bright.
No matter if you choose the musketeer in blue, red, or black (compare 2nd photo), they all will follow us into the world of adventures.
